A year of events at the Galdi Village

Created to foster the exchange of ideas and innovation, the Galdi Village, a place to fill, hosted a whole range of events and initiatives throughout 2022.

Events included book presentations, research project meetings and visits to our headquarters. Here is a recap:

First meeting with the students from Padua's "E. Bernardi" IPSIA Institute, as part of the Corporate Sustainability Project organised by Assindustria Venetocentro.

During the webinar, the students were assigned a tech test linked to Galdi's world. Solutions were assessed in light of their environmental impact.

The winners were announced during Sustainability Week. Sustainability was also the topic of the presentations held by our colleagues Giacomo Dori (System Engineer) and Michele Vazzoler (R&D Manager).

We were delighted to host the presentation event for Girls Code It Better, a project involving local schools, aimed at boosting interest in STEM subjects and careers among young girls through workshops and tech-related projects.

In November 2022, a new Club started in cooperation with Galdi, a strong advocate of the initiative. Girls from the "Flaminio" High School (Vittorio Veneto, Treviso) will take part in the Club's activities.

The author explored the topics covered in his book, in particular the service economy, with its increased focus on the service component of products, and the opportunities presented by the advancements in digital technologies.

The event was open to employees, customers, suppliers and universities. It was held in hybrid mode, with participants attending both in-person and remotely.

Thanks to UniSMART, the foundation of the University of Padua, we had the pleasure of hosting 3 female researchers from the University of Novi Sad’s Institute of Food Technology.

The visit was an opportunity for sharing knowledge, with a view to developing joint research projects.

Following a visit to our facilities and presentations by Galdi staff, we discussed employee welfare initiatives Galdi has undertaken over the years, as well as future goals.

Entrepreneurs and businesses belonging to the AdHoc Group network participated in the event.

This was the first in a series of meetings organised by Assindustria Venetocentro in cooperation with the Department of Management Engineering @unipd.

The event was part of the #lebuonepratiche (Good Practices) project, designed to provide an opportunity for local businesses to learn how other companies create innovation.

During the event, we shared our approach and presented some of our 4.0 projects (including MaSH), as well as the video we made for the project.

Final event & presentation of the results of the Virtualization and Remotization for Resilient and Efficient Manufacturing (VIR2EM) research project.

Local businesses and several university departments took part in the project, which started in 2020. Galdi's work focused on 4 research areas: Digital Twin technology, predictive maintenance, IIOT infrastructure upgrade, and virtual workstations.

This event about corporate data governance and relevant support tools was organised by Club Bit in cooperation with Deloitte.

Final event of a project organised by Assindustria Venetocentro, bringing together communication agencies and local businesses.

Galdi presented the work behind the launch event for the new packaging system RG80 developed with web agency Bizen.

Tenth edition of DIGITALmeet - “The largest Italian festival on digital literacy for citizens and enterprises" was a good opportunity to advertise the Girls Code It Better project.

During the event, two female students from "XXV Aprile" High School in Portogruaro (Venice) shared their experience about the workshops organised by the association.

On the occasion of PMI (SME) Day 2022, Year 8 students from "C. Casteller" Middle School in Paese (Treviso) visited our headquarters.

They were also assigned a small research project on sustainability as part of the “Pensiamo Green” project by Assindustria Venetocentro.

We were delighted to meet the female students who will be taking part in the coding lab and look forward to the ideas and innovations they will develop in the coming months.

We spent the day with students of the International Management Master's Degree at "Ca’ Foscari" University of Venice, discussing customer support solutions through the development and implementation of digital services.
