Founded over seventy years ago, today Eurovo is an international company specialising in the production and distribution of eggs and egg products, with over 1,500 employees in Europe and the world's largest free-range farm.

With its vertically integrated supply chain, Eurovo can guarantee maximum control over quality and food safety, from the raw material to the product on the shelf.

Eurovo’s products are sold through several channels - large- and mid-sized retail, industrial, artisan food businesses and food service - under different brands.

The experience with Galdi

For Gruppo Eurovo, Galdi installed two RG270 packaging machines with ULTRA CLEAN configuration, used to fill egg products in 250 g, 500 g e 1 kg Gable Top cartons.

Galdi provided support to develop a packaging solution that meets all requirements in terms of versatility, food safety and production performance.

We also helped the customer choose the most adequate packaging type and format.

Besides making products stand out on shelf, Gable Top cartons are aluminium-free, in line with the company's commitment to sustainability.

With the new Gable Top packaging machines, the Group can offer flexibility in terms of format, taking advantage of the competitive edge that comes with a quick product changeover:

  • Volume changeover, switching between 250g, 500g and 1000 g in less than 3 minutes.
  • Quick and easier product-volume changeover - switching for instance from whole egg in 1kg- to egg white in 500g-cartons - using pre-set recipes, with minor adjustments by operators.
  • Consistent filling performance, even as viscosity changes, achieved through the DDF dosing unit combined with a bottom-up system and Galdi's in-depth knowledge of dosing parameters.
