Galdi 2024 events: a year of projects and sharing

Sharing and being open to new ideas, inside and outside the company, are essential points in order to grow up year after year.

Once again, this year we have opened our doors to diverse events, enthusiastically participating in projects with companies, universities, schools, associations, suppliers and partners based in our area.

Here is Galdi's 2024 summary review.

Our multipurpose space dedicated to innovation and sharing is a place created to attract and develop new ideas.

This year it has hosted a series of major events:

March 28 - "Packaging between Intellectual Property and Sustainability"

The event focused on the challenges faced by packaging manufacturers nowadays - creativity, innovation and sustainability among the others-with particular attention to intellectual property and patent management, was organized by UniSMART in collaboration with Società Italiana Brevetti S.p.A.

At the event a specialist intervened, a member of FILL good, that is Galdi's team of experts in Packaging Development and microbiology.

May 10 - A look at leadership in Galdi, thanks to a visit to Marcolin company

On the occasion of a series of meetings on leadership in the company organized by the Marcolin Academy, a number of figures with relevant roles in Galdi gave their first-hand accounts of the dynamics and leadership methods adopted.A small glimpse of everyday life and strategy, made up of decisions and actions to give and get the most from teams and individual contributors.

July 11: "Doing Business in a 5.0 Company. Which are the Changes for Enterprisers and Stakeholders?"

The event, organized by the Enterprise Salon, took the form of a panel discussion bringing together several testimonials from companies including Galdi's one.

The main topic was the transition to Company 5.0 for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, between digitization and ESG, opportunities and strategic actions.

Oct. 21 and 23 - DIGITALMEET 2024 at Galdi: Transition 5.0 and Generative Artificial Intelligence

As every year, DIGITALmeet, Italy's largest digital festival, represents an opportunity to discuss extremely current issues with a forward-looking orientation.

This year Galdi Village has hosted two events covering topics such as Transition 5.0 and Generative Artificial Intelligence applied to servitization.

Nov. 21: Sustainable supply chain: winning relationships

An afternoon full of sustainability to engage even more Galdi's supply chain in the pursuit of responsible and sustainable goals.

Actually, as a Benefit Company, it is important for us to convey and share positive values and concrete actions with our suppliers, as well as offering all our support.

The event represented an opportunity for dialogue and inspiration and was attended by local companies and associations.

Thanks to different perspectives and virtuous sustainability stories, the meeting was an opportunity to understand how important "connections" are for future-oriented enterprises and areas.
In conjunction with the event, there was also the presentation of the exhibition "Sustainable Eco-Network" - which will be discussed later - by the artist Debora Basei.

Dec. 13 - Visit from the Sustainability Group of Confindustria Veneto Est

Nearly 80 companies from different market sectors and with a common goal: ongoing sustainable development.

The Sustainability Group of Confindustria Veneto Est is a meeting point for curious and innovative companies that have chosen to grow through the sharing of sustainable best practices and knowledge.

Galdi has been a member of the Group since 2015, the year of its founding, just to be awarded in September 2024 during the annual opening ceremony.

During the visit organized on December 13, innovation, sustainability and doing business were the topics shared with the hosted companies.

Enhancing the value of our territory is a commitment (that) we carry out with absolute pleasure.

May 29, 2024 - "EUREKA! IT WORKS!"

How creative are children? A lot.

Once again this year we had the pleasure of participating in EUREKA! IT WORKS!, a project sponsored by Federmeccanica.

The initiative is really interesting and engaging: through a contest, primary school children are invited to "conceive, design and build a real toy," starting with a kit provided by Federmeccanica.

This year it was an honor to preside over the jury for the evaluation of the projects suggested by the pupils of Visentin Primary School in Postioma, just a few steps from our headquarters.

June 03: Outdoor classroom, in nature you learn best

On June 03 we had the pleasure of inaugurating at the Istituto Comprensivo "C. Casteller" in Paese (TV) the Outdoor Classroom, a new outdoor space dedicated to children.

The initiative was conceived by the local Boys and Girls City Council and implemented with the participation of the school and local government, as well as the support of Galdi and YCO, a well-known local company.

Out of this synergy came a place designed to experiment with new ways of learning and to offer kids manual activities and courses in collaboration with other local businesses.

October-December: the circular economy in the Sustainable Eco-Network Exhibition.

After the success of the first edition, Galdi returned to host the traveling exhibit "Sustainable Eco-Network," a circular economy project conceived and implemented by Ricrearti.

The initiative is a fine example of how creativity can combine sustainability, social engagement and business-to-business collaboration.

The artworks are in fact composed of materials no longer needed for production, provided by local companies.

The prototypes are made with the involvement of local associations and organizations that are involved in accommodating people who are disadvantaged in various ways.

The new tour, like its predecessor, has touched and will touch on various businesses in the area, whose corporate spaces through art are becoming mouthpieces for a positive and sustainable message.

We are proud to have hosted the exhibition and will continue to support other initiatives to promote the culture of beauty and the beauty of the area, one of the cornerstones of our commitment as a Benefit Company.

From secondary schools to universities, we cultivate contamination with young, fresh and curious minds.

Oct. 15: CAREER DAY

A day of storytelling dedicated to new talent.

Between internships, master's thesis projects and educational pathways, our doors are always open to welcome new collaborations and ideas.

This year's Career Day, organized by the Department of Industrial Systems Technology and Management (DTG) of the University of Padua, in collaboration with Fondazione Studi Universitari of Vicenza (FSU), allowed us to share the passion for research and innovation driving Galdi.

Nov. 22: SME day: a day in the company, looking to the future!

Sponsored by Confindustria Piccola Industria, PMI DAY is a school orientation project that has been engaging students for 15 years to invite them to take a look into the future.

Through guided tours, children can explore the everyday work of a company by "living it" for a day. This year, two third-year classes from the Istituto Comprensivo of Quinto di Treviso visited us.

December 9 - Presentation of the new Girls Code it Better challenge.

Girls Code it Better is a project we were immediately impressed by and enthusiastically involved in, such that 2024/25 will be our third year of participation.

The goal of the initiative is to engage female students in "hands-on" application of STEM subjects, with a view to a course of study in that field.

How? Through educational workshops that also involve local businesses.

The collaboration with the girls of Liceo Flaminio of Vittorio Veneto High School, who joined the challenge in large numbers, is steadfast again this year.

After the June 12 presentation at our headquarters of the project results by the girls involved in the 2023/24 edition, a new group of Flaminio High School students received a new challenge for the year 2024/25 on December 9: rethinking the human-machine interface (HMI) of the latest Galdi packaging machine.

During 2024 - Visiting secondary schools.

In addition to those mentioned, there are several days dedicated to school visits in Galdi.

This year we had the pleasure of hosting:

• 4 third-year classes of the Istituto Comprensivo of Quinto di Treviso (secondary I grade), as part of the orientation path for choosing high school.
• IIS Einaudi Scarpa of Montebelluna (secondary II): an orientation visit on technical topics such as automation and design. A small journey through new technologies and innovation.
