Optimised cleaning with Galdi's Self CIP unit

The Self CIP cleaning unit is a fully automated auxiliary device created by Galdi to optimise the CIP and SIP processes on our packaging machines.

The system, developed in-house and with our Automation Team and Hygiene Specialist playing a key role, is fully compatible with and can be seamlessly integrated into any Galdi packaging machine.

The auxiliary device can be installed on both new and existing - via an upgrade - filling machines.

With Galdi's Self CIP, you can manage cleaning cycles more efficiently: in the case of several machines and/or lines in the same production facility, the plant can be cleaned while the packaging machine runs cleaning cycles automatically.Compared to a central CIP system, Galdi's unit also guarantees a substantial improvement in terms of cleaning times and efficiency thanks to the following special features:

Seamless integration

Since the auxiliary device has been developed on the standard cleaning cycles designed for filling machines manufactured by Galdi, the highest level of integration, compatibility and optimization can be achieved, no matter the model.

The exchange of data between the unit and the machine ensures maximum efficiency and eliminates idle times for several activities. For instance:

• Aligning with ongoing machine operations, the Self CIP unit can predict some settings so as to be ready for when the filling machine requires it
• The system detects sanitizer concentration levels and autonomously fills up the quantity of chemicals to reach the correct level for the next stage. Compared to a central CIP system, it saves time, consumption and resources (water and chemicals).

Automated and customised cleaning cycles

The unit autonomously manages CIP and SIP cycles through user-friendly and customisable recipes, tailored to each machine type and packaged product, guaranteeing:

Intuitive user experience

The Self CIP unit comes with a dedicated HMI that provides an intuitive and simple user experience in line with Galdi's usability standards.

The Wizard and Help mode help operators with guided navigation and support for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and simplified maintenance.

The whole process - recipe selection, starting, monitoring, and progress - can be controlled through the Self CIP panel, the machine's HMI, and even remotely, an additional time-saving feature.

Monitoring and advanced diagnostics

The cleaning unit for Galdi packaging machines generates a log for each cleaning cycle - providing data on consumption, times, and process efficiency - for performance monitoring.

Galdi specialists can also provide remote support and access detailed information on both the packaging machine and the cleaning unit. This enables quicker and more precise troubleshooting.

The unit is compatible with MaSH, Galdi's advanced monitoring system, which has enabled progress in predictive maintenance, an area in which Galdi carried out innovative research work that has been recognized by the international scientific community.
