For projects that require specific skills or complex implementations, such as the installation of complete lines, Galdi's Sales Engineers are supported by colleagues in key support roles like Project Managers and System Integrators.

Their contribution is crucial to ensure that projects develop smoothly. This also enables us to act as a one-stop shop in very complex projects with specific customer requirements, and also for manufacturers using Gable Top cartons for the first time.

Layout design and System Integration
When it comes to layout design, Galdi and Artema Pack have a wealth of experience: they can offer solutions for a wide variety of needs and create bespoke projects built to customer specifications.
Depending on the level of complexity, we can bring in a Galdi System Integrator from the very start of the project, who can help with the initial layout and the study of potential solutions.
In his role, he will later co-design the final layout with the customer, according to their requirements (e.g. specific internal security protocols), production facility constraints and the integration of existing (third-party) systems.
Organisational and operational support
In order to deliver a project on time and budget, the shipping, unloading, installation and start-up of a packaging machine, or line, must be managed in a coordinated manner.
Such complex processes require different machinery and the involvement of several work teams (including external suppliers).
Once again, Galdi can offer comprehensive support through process management and verification, the drafting of handling plans and direct interfacing with all parties involved.
Once the process has been completed and the machine commissioned, further services are available to customers, including:
- Advanced training for operators and maintenance technicians
- On-site assistance service, with a Galdi technician assisting machine operators in daily operations and sharing best practices
- Performance Test: after a final machine tuning, the technician checks that the packaging machine or line meets set production targets in terms of machine and line performance (MME and OEE)
