That's precisely why Galdi invests significantly in its quality control operations.
Starting from a statistical evaluation, we plan a whole series of tests according to the machine complexity and/or the volume of orders.
Our quality control manager verifies each component's design, compliance and reliability through a number of operations, shown in our video series:
Dimensional inspection of dosing valve seat
Measuring surface roughness of the valve’s body (doser)
Checking internal pipe welding via videoscope
Visual inspection of possible edges on the spindle base
Detected errors are monitored for a two-year period while a monthly check on the number of errors on delivered machines is performed.
This allows us to keep track of our Quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). When standards are not met, we strive to put all the necessary corrections in place.
The thorough verifications performed on our filling machine components are carried out with the help of our suppliers, who are periodically tested and profiled according to our own merit rating. In addition, we carry out structured checks at their premises every 15-20 days.
The exchange of information and ideas with our suppliers is an ongoing process, based on our mutual goal of keeping production quality at the highest standard. We therefore succeeded in creating a shared growth process over the years, leading to some outstanding results, such as reducing the overall non-compliance of the components by 70%.
