Agile and Lean are the two approaches adopted by Galdi to support our growth and address new challenges. Indeed, our goal is to become more efficient and faster in creating solutions, from the simplest to the most complex ones.
Thanks to the Lean methodology we have learned to minimise waste and inefficiency by streamlining our work, with additional improvements on the way. With Agile we aim to increase our Innovation Rate by making our processes more dynamic.
Once again, our people are at the core of this evolution.
Indeed, the whole Galdi team is taking part in improving and developing our products. In a stimulating process entailing greater responsibilities, each team member is encouraged to study our processes, act independently and put forward new solutions. As we learn about what our colleagues do and become real experts at our own job, this gets easier and easier.
Here are some of the changes we've introduced and what’s coming up.
Agile is changing the way we experiment, design and collaborate. In our open prototypes area, new solutions are tried and tested every day with the help of various professionals.
Our shared goal is to make our existing components more durable, precise and reliable and to introduce new technologies. And we aim to do this together, focusing on skills rather than roles or departments.
ONE TEST, ZERO WASTE
The adoption of Lean has already delivered outstanding results in a number of areas, from managing our warehouse to the testing zone.
Not only have we optimised the way we work, we have also reduced the amount of water, energy and material waste with significant benefits for the environment as well as our customers. Indeed, as they are taken through our final performance tests, our clients get a clear picture of the processes delivering efficient results in the long term.
TURNKEY FILLING MACHINES
Today Galdi has the capacity to install its filling machines in two working days, allowing production to begin in less than a week.
We achieved this result thanks to our improved controls and to the hard work of our testers and suppliers. Indeed, removing inefficiencies and exchanging ideas aren’t just internal matters, but involve our external partners too.
People, processes and products: with Agile and Lean, improvement is ongoing and inclusive.
