Since April 2008. I've recently celebrated my tenth anniversary with the company.
What is your current role?
Technical Planner within the Technical Support department
What exactly does it involve?
I specialise in providing upgrade and recall services as well as creating alternative solutions to meet our clients’ needs in the shortest possible time.
How did you find out about the company and start working here?
When I was looking for a new job, I learned about Galdi from a recruitment agency. They said the company was very reliable and offered excellent career opportunities. I accepted, and here I am!
Tell us three things you like about Galdi.
1. It’s very easy to create good working relationships with colleagues.
2. The support we offer to our clients is outstanding.
3. The company is always searching for innovative solutions. We never rest on our laurels!
How is Galdi different from other companies you have worked for?
The differences are many, in that no company is equal. Each has its own priorities and preferred way of working. Even the relationships among employees are different as they depend from the company’s own culture. Indeed, collaborating and exchanging information are essential to get a real sense of belonging.
What do you like the most about your job?
I like to see the result of my own work while operating and delivering the final product. When everything goes smoothly I feel extremely rewarded, and I can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing I haven’t forgotten anything. No matter how many checks and tests you run, you can never be 100% sure that everything will be perfect. Luckily, though, we manage to keep errors to a minimum.
What is your approach to challenges?
I tackle them without hesitation. I never leave anything to chance, and that's what I love about this job. I don't like to improvise. I need to know where to start and where I’m headed to. I like to find my own way towards the final destination, looking for the most suitable path.
How do you expect your job to evolve in the future?
The future of technical support is looking up. There are many new projects to follow and new routes to explore to offer innovative solutions to our loyal clients. There’s always room for improvement.
Now for some personal information. How do you spend your free time?
I have several hobbies. I like riding my motorbike, both on the track and during country outings with friends.
I also sing in a rock band, we play our own songs in Italian. I started playing the guitar some years ago, but there were too many guitar players and my friends asked me if I wanted to sing instead. I've never been afraid of looking silly in front of others, so I accepted and became the lead singer. I also liked to work out before I got married, but that’s another story...
How far do you live from the company?
I live 30 km away.

What makes you happiest?
I love to spend time with my nephews and do some DYI with my father.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself getting older, but just from the outside!
Do you get on well with your colleagues?
I wouldn’t live under the same roof, but we do get on well!
Which Galdi machine are you? Why?
I would be an RG50, a reliable machine which served as the blueprint for several other models.
Your favourite dish?
Pasta Carbonara, but I also love chips!
One last question. If Galdi was a sports team, what would you say to motivate it?
I often find myself cheering like this while I’m at work: GO GALDI, TILL THE VERY END!
